About The Church
Living Hope Community Church strives to be a community of faith that personifies the love and forgiveness of Christ.
By living out the story of Jesus through relationships with our community, we believe that faith, hope, comfort and wholeness can be found.
Our Mission Statement is– “Making Christ and His Word real to our community through love and service.” We believe the kingdom of God is made up of believers from many traditions and denominational backgrounds who express and worship God in their own unique way.
On behalf of the people of Living Hope Community Church, I want to Welcome you to our website and thank you for giving us this opportunity to share something about who we are and what we are about. We that hope you will browse our website and see some of our activities but even more hope you will join us at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We are a church full of real people, living in a real world, serving a real God. At Living Hope we believe that the church should be exciting, meaningful, relevant, and life-giving. Each Sunday, you can experience God in a real way through engaging worship services and messages that are both practical and uplifting. We dare you to join us and experience the many opportunities for personal and spiritual growth that Living Hope has to offer. Pastor Mike Ramsey
FAQs
How Long?
Our service lasts about 70 minutes.
Music
Our band will hit the stage, and you’ll hear a song or two you know, and probably a couple you don’t. We sing praise to God about what is going on in our life and sing prayers to God as we lay down our lives before Him. Our music is mostly contemporary, and the lyrics will be on the screens. You are invited to sing with us or use this time to simply enjoy the music and quietly reflect on God.
Message
You’ll hear a message that is straight from the Bible that applies directly to your life.
Giving
You will notice that there is a time in our service for people to give financially. While this is on one hand called to do in scripture, it’s also a way of saying, “We love God and our church, and we support it.” If you would like to give you may do so in person on Sundays or safely through this website – just click the GIVING link. However, you should not feel any pressure to give as our guest.
Questions
We love questions here at Living Hope, please feel free to ask someone if you have any questions. You can also fill out a Connection Card and put it in the offering plate when they are passed or give it to a Pastor, Usher, or Worship Leader at any time. These are a safe way for you to give us your information, so that we can be in contact with you and praying for you. Don’t worry we will not sell, give, or share your info with any outside source ever.
What does “Living Hope” mean?
In Jesus, we have Living Hope that allows us to embrace life, regardless of its uncertainty. We cannot Live without Hope, when we keep Hoping, we keep Living. Our Living Hope is in Jesus. We are Living Hope for others to see His love in action.
Is this “just another church”?
Fortunately, God didn’t give us one “right” way to “do” church. Some ways have become ingrained over the years but that doesn’t make them right; they are just traditions that have worked for some people. But we’re not those people, and we need to find new ways that work for us, so we are a little different. So, bring your doubts and questions, wear whatever you want, and please don’t feel like you have to put on a fake smile. At Living Hope, no perfect people are allowed. We are a church that loves Jesus because He loves us, He forgives us, and He invites us to gather in His name.
Is Living Hope a part of a denomination?
We’re non-denominational. Sorry if you’re all into denominations, but we’re not in one. We are part of Destiny Ministries and we like partnering with other churches to serve our community. Our foundation is Pentecostal and we also have roots with Methodist, Reformed, and a few other denominations entwined in our church DNA.
What if I don’t believe in God?
We understand. And you’re still welcome! We’re hoping that maybe you’re open to exploring faith, and to the idea that maybe there is a God and maybe He’s worth knowing.
What if I attend another church?
If you are happy and growing in your faith at your church, we encourage you to stay at your current church. If you are going through a life change and you are needing a new church to grow closer to God and alongside others, you are welcome to join us.
What if I have kids?
Kids are one of the highest priorities of our church. We offer safe, fun environments specifically for your children so you can have one less thing to worry about while you’re visiting our church. We simply ask that you bring them back home with you.
What is the dress code?
Wear what you are comfortable wearing. You will see people in ties and t-shirts, dresses and shorts, flip-flops and cowboy boots and everything in between.
What about coffee?
We believe that a good day starts with coffee and Jesus. You are welcome to bring a cup with you to your seat, we simply ask that you use a lid. We also have tea and water if that’s your thing – no judgment here…maybe.
What We Believe
-
We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4, II Corinthians 13:14, John 1:1
-
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ was begotten, not created, very God of very God, truly God, truly Man. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world, resurrected bodily for our justification, and now reigns in glory until all things be put under His feet.
I Timothy 3:16
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all believers, conforming them to the image of Jesus Christ.
I Corinthians 12:13, Romans 8:16-17
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is an endowment of power, subsequent to conversion, given by God to anoint the believer for sanctification and evangelism. It is our understanding that the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are active within the body of Christ until the coming of the Lord. Furthermore, we believe the development of these charismatic gifts ought to be encouraged under the guidance of local church authorities.
Acts 8:14-17, Acts 19:1-2, I Corinthians 12:4-7
-
We believe that man was made in the image of God and is the crown of creation. He is now, by reason of the fall, spiritually depraved and alienated from His Creator. Apart from God’s grace, he has no ability to attain to his high calling.
Psalm 8, Ephesians 2:8-9
-
We believe in the absolute inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, given by the Holy Spirit without error, as He moved upon holy men of old. Furthermore, we believe that the Church has no authority to establish doctrine or practice contrarily to these same Scriptures, which were subsequently accepted as canon by the early Christian Church.
II Timothy 3:16
-
We believe in the Christian Church imperfectly represented on earth by the various Christian institutions. Her unity is spiritual, her culture diverse and transitional, her mission eternal.
Hebrews 12:18-23
-
We believe that justification is by grace through faith in our Lord’s sacrifice on Calvary.
Romans 3:21-24
-
We believe that all of God’s people are to be buried with our Lord Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism, subsequent to conversion.
Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4
